Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed, on April 1, 708.18 points higher at 59,276.69. Nifty ended 205.70 points higher at 17,670.45.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on March 31, 115.48 points lower at 58,568.51. Nifty ended 33.50 points lower at 17,464.75.
NTPC, BPCL, Power Grid Corporation, IndusInd Bank and SBI were among the top Nifty gainers. Hero MotoCorp, SBI Life Insurance, Sun Pharma, Tech Mahindra and Titan Company were the top losers.
