Mumbai: Sensex closed on April 22, 2020 at 742.84 points higher at 31,379.55. Nifty ended 206 points up at 9,187.30.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on April 21, 2020 at 1,011.29 points lower at 30,636.71. Nifty ended 280.40 points down at 8,981.45.
Among stocks, index heavyweight Reliance Industries jumped today after Facebook bought a 10 per cent stake in the company’s digital business for 5.7 billion dollars (about Rs 43,547 crore) to expand its presence in India.
