Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed higher today. Sensex closed on 1st March at 749.85 points higher at 49,849.84. Nifty ended 232.40 points high at 14,761.55.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 26th February at 1,939.32 points lower at 49,099.99. Nifty ended 568.20 points low at 14,529.15.
Power Grid Corporation, ONGC, Grasim Industries, UPL and Shree Cements were among major gainers on the Nifty, while Bharti Airtel is the only loser.
