The domestic benchmark indices ended higher on January 15.
Sensex ended 759.48 points higher at 73,327.94, whereas Nifty concluded 202.90 points up at 22,097.45.
Wipro, ONGC, HCL Technologies, Infosys and Bharti Airtel were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included HDFC Life, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Hindalco Industries and Eicher Motors.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 847.27 points higher at 72,568.45, whereas Nifty concluded 247.35 points up at 21,894.55.
