Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on January 28 at 76.71 points lower at 57,200.23. Nifty ended 5.50 points lower at 17,104.65.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on January 27 at 581.21 points lower at 57,276.94. Nifty ended 167.80 points higher at 17,110.15.
NTPC was the top gainer followed by Sun Pharma, IndusInd Bank, and ITC. Down in the red was Maruti Suzuki accompanied by Tech Mahindra, Power Grid Corporation, and ICICI Bank.
