Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed, on March 4, 768.87 points lower at 54,333.81. Nifty ended 252.70 points lower at 16,245.35.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on March 3, 366.22 points lower at 55,102.68. Nifty ended 107.90 points lower at 16,498.05.
Titan Company, Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp and Tata Motors were among the top Nifty losers. On the other hand, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, ITC, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma and UltraTech Cement were the biggest gainers.
