Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed higher today. Sensex closed on 19 January at 834.02 points higher at 49,398.29. Nifty ended 239.85 points high at 14,521.15.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 18 January at 470.40 points lower at 48,564.27. Nifty ended 152.40 points low at 14,281.30.
Bajaj Finserv, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance, HDFC and Hindalco Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Tech Mahindra, ITC, Wipro, M&M and Britannia Industries.
