The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. On May 6, Sensex closed 866.65 points lower at 54,835.58. Nifty ended 271.40 points lower at 16,411.25.
In the previous season, on May 5, Sensex closed 33.20 points higher at 55,702.23. Nifty ended 5.05 points higher at 16,682.65.
Divis Labs, Bajaj Finance, Shree Cements, UPL and Tata Motors were among the top Nifty losers, while gainers were Hero MotoCorp, Tech Mahindra, Power Grid Corp, ITC and ONGC.
