The equity benchmark indices ended higher on Wednesday.
Sensex ended 874.94 points higher at 79,468.01, whereas Nifty concluded 304.95 points up at 24,297.50.
Biggest Nifty gainers included Coal India, Adani Ports, Power Grid Corp, Cipla and Wipro, while losers were IndusInd Bank, Eicher Motors, Britannia, Tech Mahindra and Titan Company.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 166.33 points lower at 78,593.07, whereas Nifty concluded 63.05 points down at 23,992.55.
