Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on December 7 at 886.51 points higher at 57,633.65. Nifty ended 264.45 points higher at 17,176.70.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on December 6 at 949.32 points lower at 56,747.14. Nifty ended 284.45 points lower at 16,912.25.
Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors were among the top Nifty gainers on the Nifty. Losers included Cipla, Britannia Industries, Divis Labs, IOC and Asian Paints.
