Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Tuesday.
Sensex ended 930.55 points down at 80,220.72, whereas Nifty concluded 309.00 points lower at 24,472.10.
Adani Enterprises, M&M, Bharat Electronics, Coal India, Tata Steel were among the top losers on the Nifty, while gainers included ICICI Bank, Nestle India, Bharti Airtel.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 73.48 points down at 81,151.27, whereas Nifty concluded 72.95 points lower at 24,781.10.
Indian rupee ended flat at 84.07 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 84.06.
