Mumbai: Sensex closed on March 3, 2020 at 479.68 points higher at 38,623.70. Similarly, Nifty ended 170.55 points high at 11,303.30.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on March 2, 2020 at 153.27 points lower at 38,144.02. Similarly, Nifty ended 69.00 points down at 11,132.75.
Vedanta, Hindalco, Sun Pharma, Tata Steel and Zee Entertainment were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers include Bajaj Auto, Yes Bank and ITC.
The rupee is trading at 73.190 against the dollar.
