Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on January 13 at 85.26 points higher at 61,235.30. Nifty ended 45.45 points higher at 18,257.80.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on January 12 at 533.15 points higher at 61,150.04. Nifty ended 156.60 points higher at 18,212.35.
Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Sun Pharma, Coal India and UPL were the top Nifty gainers. Losers were Wipro, Asian Paints, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and IndusInd Bank.
