Indian equity indices ended marginally higher in the volatile session on March 25.
Sensex ended 32.80 points higher at 78,017.19, whereas Nifty concluded 10.30 points up at 23,668.65.
UltraTech Cement, Trent, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, Grasim Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Adani Enterprises, Coal India, Adani Ports.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 1,078.88 points higher at 77,984.38, whereas Nifty concluded 307.95 points up at 23,658.35.
Indian rupee ended 13 paise lower at 85.76 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 85.63.
