Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on December 29 at 90.99 points lower at 57,806.49. Nifty ended 19.65 points lower at 17,213.60.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on December 28 at 477.24 points higher at 57,897.48. Nifty ended 147.00 points higher at 17,233.25.
Eicher Motors, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Auto, IndusInd Bank and Divis Labs were among the top Nifty gainers. Losers included ITC, SBI, Coal India, Tech Mahindra and Grasim Industries.
