Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed lower today. Sensex closed on 25 January at 530.95 points lower at 48,347.59. Nifty ended 133.00 points low at 14,238.90.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 22 January at 746.22 points lower at 48,878.54. Nifty ended 218.45 points low at 14,371.90.
Reliance Industries, IndusInd Bank, HCL Technologies, Tata Motors and Eicher Motors were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers included Grasim Industries, UPL, Cipla, Hero Motocorp and Axis Bank.
