Mumbai: BSE Sensex today on 20th September 2019 was trading 119.27 points higher at 36,212.74 at 09:30 am. On the other hand, the NSE Nifty rose 23.90 points at 10,728.70 in morning trade.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 36,148.69 points, and Nifty was trading at 10,709.15 points.
The market is now awaiting cues from the GST Council meeting which is scheduled for today.
Yes Bank, HDFC Bank, Maruti, Hero MotoCorp, Kotak Bank, HUL, M&M, Bajaj Auto and IndusInd Bank were among the top gainers rising up to 2.22 per cent.
NTPC, PowerGrid, ONGC, Axis Bank, SBI, Tata Motors, Asian Paints, ITC and HCL Tech were among the top losers falling up to 2.46 per cent.
On the currency front, the Indian rupee appreciated 21 paise against its previous close at 71.12 in early session.
Global oil benchmark Brent crude surged 0.33 per cent to 64.61 per barrel.
