Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex surged in early trade on Friday. At 10:05 am, The 30-share BSE index was trading 133.00 points higher at 43,732.96 in the opening session. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty rose 44.80 points to 12,816.50.
Bajaj Finserv was the top gainer in the Sensex pack followed by Tata Steel, Titan, Bajaj Finance, HDFC twins and Kotak Bank.
On the other hand, ICICI Bank, ONGC, Axis Bank, SBI and IndusInd Bank were among the laggards.
