Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex rose in early trade on Friday. After touching its record intra-day high of 46,212.53 in the opening session, at 10:21 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading 304.83 points higher at 46,264.71.
Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty rose 88.10 points to 13,566.40. It hit a high of 13,553.80.
ONGC was the top gainer in the Sensex pack followed by SBI, NTPC, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC and Reliance Industries. On the other hand, Asian Paints, Tech Mahindra, Infosys and Nestle India were among the laggards.
