Indian benchmark indices ended flat in the volatile session on Monday.
Sensex ended 23.12 points higher at 81,355.84, whereas Nifty concluded 1.25 points up at 24,836.10.
Top Nifty gainers were Divis Labs, L&T, BPCL, Bajaj Finserv and SBI, while losers were Titan Company, Bharti Airtel, Hero MotoCorp, Tech Mahindra and Tata Consumer Products.
In the previous season, Sensex closed in the green territory at 81,332.72, up 1,292.92 points, or 1.62 per cent while the Nifty closed at 24,834.85 up 428.75 points or 1.76 per cent, after touching an all-time high of 24,853.10 points.
