Indian benchmark indices ended flat on March 7 after hitting record highs at the opening trade.
Sensex ended 33.40 points higher at 74,119.39, whereas Nifty concluded 19.50 points high at 22,493.55.
Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Tata Consumer, Tata Motors and JSW Steel were among the top Nifty gainers, while losers were M&M, BPCL, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 408.86 points higher at 74,085.99, whereas Nifty concluded 117.75 points high at 22,474.05.
