The domestic benchmark indices ended flat on the first trading day of year 2024.
Sensex ended 31.68 points up at 72,271.94, whereas Nifty concluded 10.50 points up at 21,741.90.
Indian rupee ended flat at 83.23 per dollar on Monday against Friday’s close of 83.20.
Nestle India, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Tech Mahindra and Wipro were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Eicher Motors, Bharti Airtel, M&M, Bajaj Auto and HDFC Bank.
