Sensex, Nifty end marginally lower amid volatility

Indian benchmark indices ended marginally lower in the highly volatile session on July 2.

Sensex ended 34.73 points lower at 79,441.45, whereas Nifty concluded 18.10 points down at 24,123.85.

Top Nifty gainers were L&T, Wipro, Infosys, HDFC Bank and TCS, while losers were Shriram Finance, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Motors and IndusInd Bank.

In the previous season, Sensex ended 443.46 points higher at 79,476.19, whereas Nifty concluded 131.35 points up at 24,141.95.
