Sensex, Nifty end marginally lower as Union Budget fails to cheer bulls

Indian benchmark indices ended marginally lower in the volatile session on July 23.

On Tuesday, Indian shares experienced fluctuating movements, alternating between minor gains and losses, coinciding with the presentation of the union budget.

Sensex ended 73.04 points lower at 80,429.04, whereas Nifty concluded 30.20 points down at 24,479.05.

Titan Company, Tata Consumer, ITC, NTPC and Adani Ports were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included L&T, ONGC, Hindalco, Shriram Finance and Bajaj Finance.

In the previous season, Sensex ended 102.57 points lower at 80,502.08, whereas Nifty concluded 21.65 points down at 24,509.25.
