Mumbai: Sensex jumped 129 points to hit its lifetime high of 41,480.91 in early trade on Wednesday. It was trading, at 106.90 points higher at 41,459.07. Similarly, the broader Nifty hit its all-time (intra-day) high of 12,199.05 in opening session.It was trading 19.55 points up at 12,184.55.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 41,423.38 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,183.75 points.
Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, M&M, TCS, Vedanta and Infosys were the top gainer in the Sensex pack. HUL, Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI and ONGC among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the rupee depreciated 9 paise to 71.08 against the US dollar in morning session.
