Mumbai: Sensex today on Wednesday was trading 113.84 points lower at 40,134.39, while NSE Nifty slipped 32.60 points at 11,884.60 in morning trade.
Similarly, at 10:13 am, Sensex was trading at 40,311 points, and Nifty was trading at 11,942 points.
Bharti Airtel, HCL Tech, ITC, Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto, HDFC duo, TCS and Reliance Industries were among the top losers. Sun Pharma were among the top gainers.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated 4 paise against the US dollar to trade at 70.73 in early session.
