Mumbai: Sensex on Wednesday was trading 119.42 points lower at 40,556.03, while NSE Nifty slipped 36.90 points at 11,957.30 in morning trade.
Similarly, at 10:10 am, Sensex was trading at 40,745 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,012 points.
Bharti Infratel, ICICI Bank, TCS, Wipro, Tata Motors, HUL and Eicher Motors are among the top gainers.
HCL Tech, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Vedanta and Hindalco are among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the Indian rupee was trading 10 paise lower at 71.76 to the US dollar in early deals.
