Mumbai: Sensex today on January 7 was trading 450 points higher at 41,126.63. Similarly Nifty was trading 132.25 points up at 12,125.30.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 41,159.33 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,131.20 points.
HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, SBI and Axis Bank were the top gainer in the Sensex pack. Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys and HCL Tech were among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated 20 paise to 71.73 against the US dollar in the morning session.
