Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex advanced in opening trade on Wednesday.
At 10:07 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading 381.44 points higher at 40,925.81, and the broader NSE Nifty rose 106.70 points to 12,003.50.
IndusInd Bank was the top gainer in the Sensex pack followed by HDFC, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, SBI, Titan, Kotak Bank and Reliance Industries. On the other hand, Nestle India, HUL and TCS were among the laggards.
