Equity benchmark Sensex plunged in early trade on Monday.
At 10:30 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading 368.77 points lower at 52,771.29 in initial deals, while the broader NSE Nifty fell 100.25 points to 15,823.15.
HDFC Bank was the top loser in the Sensex pack followed by HDFC, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank.
On the other hand, NTPC, Bharti Airtel, Titan, PowerGrid and Reliance Industries were among the gainers.
