Shahabad: The Shahabad sugar mill has cleared cane dues worth Rs 210 crore to the cane farmers and will clear the remaining payment soon, said cooperative minister Banwari Lal, reports Amar Ujala.
He visited the sugar mill and inspected the setting up of the ethanol plant. Later speaking with reporters he said that the mill has crushed 71 lakh quintals of sugarcane with a recovery rate of 7.50%. The mill has also sold 4.35 crore units of electricity to the Haryana electricity board.
