Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: District Magistrate (DM) Ravindra Singh held a meeting with officials from the sugar mills and the cane department to review the pending sugarcane payments.
He stated that the Shamli sugar mill had assured full payment to farmers by May, but the outstanding payments have not yet been made. He instructed them to expedite the payment process.
On Tuesday, DM Ravindra Singh met with officials from Shamli, Unn, and Thanabhawan sugar mills at his office to review the pending sugarcane payments for the 2023-24 season.
The DM directed that the pending sugarcane payments for the 2023-24 crushing season be made on time. The Shamli sugar mill was specifically instructed to complete all payments by May 2024, as per their assurance.
