Shamali: The Shamali sugar mill concluded the cursing season on Saturday night. Overall three major sugar mills from the region have concluded their crushing.
According to the officials, the mills managed to continue cane crushing during the coronavirus pandemic and successfully completed crushing of available cane from the sugarcane fields of farmers despite lockdown. The mills followed the rules and directives issued by the state government and the district administration and completed operations successfully.
In this season, sugar mills in the state produced record sugar, but also facing the financial shortage due to dip in sugar sales.
