Mumbai, Sep 20 (PTI) Small sugar prices eased in an otherwise lacklustre Vashi wholesale market here Thursday following lower demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
While, medium sugar prices held stable in absence of any large-scale buying activity.
Small sugar (S-30) prices slid by Rs 8/10 per quintal to Rs 3,112/3,212 from Wednesday’s closing level of Rs 3,120/3,222.
Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,220/3,462 per quintal.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,112/3,212 (Rs 3,120/3,222).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,220/3,462 (Rs 3,220/3,462).
