=Small sugar prices gained at the Vashi wholesale market here today on good demand from
stockists and bulk consumers.
Meanwhile, medium sugar closed mixed owing to
alternate patterns of buying and selling activities.
Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 8/20 per quintal to Rs 3,220/3,302 from Tuesday’s closing level of Rs 3,212/3,282.
Medium sugar (S-30) quoted at Rs 3,306/3,512 as
against Rs 3,302/3,532, yesterday.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,220/3,302 (Rs 3,212/3,282).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,306/3,512 (Rs
3,302/3,532).
