Small sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale market here today on renewed demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
While, prices of medium sugar weakened owing to lower demand from stockists and retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) prices rose by Rs 36 per quintal to Rs 3,180/3,352 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 3,180/3,316.
Medium sugar (M-30) dropped by Rs 24/10 per quintal to Rs 3,272/3,492 as against Rs 3,296/3,502.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,180/3,352 (Rs 3,180/3,316).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,272/3,492 (Rs 3,296/3,502).
