Tura, Meghalaya: Various groups hailing from the Nongalbibra area in South Garo Hills have collectively complained with the Deputy Commissioner, urging immediate intervention to halt the illegal trade of sugar to Bangladesh, reported The Shillong Times.
Local organisations including the ACHIK, FKJGP, GSMC, AYWO and AOSW filed the joint complaint on Friday while expressing strong opposition as well condemnation against the illegal activity.
In their joint complaint, the groups appealed to the authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter and take decisive action against those implicated in illegal activities.
