Hingurana sugar mill in Sri Lanka has got permission to start operations for crushing sugarcane and produce sugar amid coronavirus pandemic.
The mill was forced to shut operations due to the Coronavirus attack leaving the 1100 employees and 4000 farmers in distress.
According to the local media reports, The 60-year-old mill produces 30,000 metric tonne sugar annually.
The mill has been granted permission to start operations as per the government plan to revive the economy.
