Pune: The Sugar Technologists Association of India (STAI) organised a seminar on “Bio-Enzymes for Sugar Mills, Refineries and Distilleries to enhance Product Quality and Yield” on 5th April 2019, at Hotel Radisson Blu in Pune.
The one-day seminar featured a day-long symposium, which included talks on bio-enzymes, refinery, and distillery.
Mr. DM Raskar, CEO of Shreenath Mhaskoba SK Ltd, presented a research paper on application of enzymes in sugar mills and distillery.
During his presentation, he said, “Sugar industries and distilleries are moving forward with new technologies, new concept and scenario is changed in the recent past years. Acceptance of advance technologies is need of the hour for the further development in the industries application of enzymes in the sugar industry and distillery is the new concept which is useful to minimize the adverse effect of dextran starch during production of sugar and alcohol.”
Mr. VM Kulkarni, the founder of VM Biotech, too presented research on Methods to control Dextran: limitations and Realities.
