Indian benchmark indices ended lower on April 07 amid selling across the sectors.
Sensex ended 2,226.79 points down at 73,137.90, whereas Nifty concluded 742.85 points down at 22,161.60.
Biggest Nifty losers were Trent, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Hindalco Industries, Shriram Finance, L&T, while gainer was Hindustan Unilever.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 930.67 points down at 75,364.69, whereas Nifty concluded 345.65 points down at 22,904.45.
Indian rupee ended 61 paise lower at 85.84 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 85.23.
