Chandigarh: Software Technology Private Limited (STPI) has assisted Rs 20 lakh to a Mohali-based startup for creating solutions for the growth of sugarcane harvest, reports The Times of India.
The startup identified as Agmitra Technologies Private Limited has received a grant from STPI, an autonomous society run under the Union ministry of electronics and information technology for qualifying the second stage of the Smart Farm Grant Challenge (SFGC) program.
Apart from this, two more startups have received a grant of Rs 20 lakh and all three startups will develop their product in the next six months and one of them will be declared the winner.
The winning startup will provide a digital solution for optimum sugarcane harvest.
As many as 474 startups had applied to the STPI to focus research on the sugarcane sector and STPI shortlisted four of them.
