Mumbai, Mar 8 (PTI) Prices of both varieties of sugar declined at the Vashi wholesale market here today following lower demand from stockists and retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) eased by Rs 8/12 per quintal to Rs 3,132/3,240 from Wednesday’s closing level of Rs 3,140/3252.
Elsewhere, medium sugar (M-30) also weakened by Rs 30 per quintal to Rs 3,192/3,450 as against Rs 3,222/3,450.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets: Small sugar(S-30) quality: Rs 3,132/3,240 (Rs (3,140/3,252).
