Prices of both the varieties of sugar dropped at the Vashi wholesale market here today following reduced demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid ample stock positions.
Small sugar (S-30) prices dipped by Rs 110/8 per quintal to Rs 3,190/3,392 from Saturday’s closing level of Rs 3,300/3,400.
Medium sugar (M-30) weakened by Rs 60/27 per quintal to Rs 3,300/3,525 as against Rs 3,360/3,552.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,190/3,392 (Rs 3,300/3,400).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,300/3,525 (Rs 3,360/3,552).
