ChiniMandi, Mumbai, Aug 23 (PTI) Sugar prices dropped up to Rs 30 per quintal at the Vashi wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists and bulk consumers amid ample supply.
Small sugar (S-30) prices moved down by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,130/3,252 from Wednesday’s closing level of Rs 3,140/3,252.
Medium sugar (M-30) also weakened by Rs 30 per quintal to Rs 3,220/3,452 as against Rs 3,250/3,452 yesterday.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,130/3,252 (Rs 3,140/3,252).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,220/3,452 (Rs 3,250/3,452).
