Prices of both the varieties of sugar gained at the Vashi wholesale market here today on good demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
Small sugar (S-30) climbed by Rs 40 per quintal to Rs 2,750/2,826 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 2,710/2,826.
Medium sugar (M-30) also rose by Rs 20/10 per quintal to Rs 2,840/2,950 as against Rs 2,820/2,940.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,750/2,826 (Rs 2,710/2,826).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,840/2,950 (Rs 2,820/2,940).
