In a tragic incident, a truck carrying sugar from Gevrai (Beed district) to Madhya Pradesh met with an accident on the Ajanta Ghat, resulting in injuries to the driver and helper. The mishap occurred on Friday morning. Although no fatalities were reported, the truck suffered damage.
The truck was en route from Gevrai, Maharashtra, to Harda in Madhya Pradesh, carrying a load of sugar. As it was descending the Ajanta Ghat, the driver lost control of the vehicle and fell in the ghat. The accident caused injuries to the driver, Kacharumal Rathod, and helper, Sunojay Karma, both residents of Madhya Pradesh. They were initially treated at a local rural hospital in Ajanta and later transferred to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar for further medical attention.
The Ajanta Police have registered a case regarding the accident and are investigating the matter.
