Gadhpura, Bihar: Magadh Sugar and energy limited completed crushing operations on Wednesday. The sugar mill has crushed 52.96 lakh quintal sugarcane in the current season. The mill has paid cane bills worth Rs 98.26 crore to the sugarcane farmers till February 1.
According to the latest reports of ISMA, As on 15th March 2021, 171 mills have stopped crushing and 331 sugar mills in the country were crushing. As compared to that, 138 mills had stopped operations last year as on 15th March 2020 and 319 mills were operating then.
