Muzaffarnagar, Mansurpur: Mansurpur sugar mill is facing a shortage of sugarcane due to lack of supply. The sugarcane crushing season is at the final phase.
For the last one week, the mill is getting a lower cane supply for crushing. The cane crushing is likely to complete by May 20.
Arvind Kumar Dixit, vice president of the Mansurpur sugar mill said, that the mill is receiving around 10 to 12,000 quintal sugarcane less daily for the crushing. The daily crushing capacity of a mill is 72,000 quintal but now it is crushing 60,000 quintal cane daily.
He has appealed to farmers to send for crushing. He said that the sugar mill has crushed one crore 25 lakh quintal of sugarcane till now. Around May 20, the sugar mill will end its crushing season.
