Vellore, Tamil Nadu: The Vellore Co-operative Sugar Mills has sufficient funds to repair the damaged machinery of the mill caused due to fire which would cost Rs 1.50 crore, said mill Chairman M Anandan, reports DTnext.
The insurance companies are ready to bear 50% of the losses and the mill officials are busy estimating the damage, he said.
“We are financially stable and will take up the repair work as soon as possible and we have received proposals from five companies in this regard so far. The repair work will be completed before the next crushing season starts,” he said.
