Tulsipur, Uttar Pradesh: District Sugarcane Officer R.S. Kushwaha and Secretary Anand Prakash Dubey announced on Tuesday that sugarcane crushing at the sugar mill would be halted from Tuesday onwards, reported Live Hindustan.
The purchase of sugarcane at the mill gate has commenced since Friday. Upon inspection during field visits, it was observed that suitable sugarcane for crushing is no longer available. Farmers are actively engaged in the rapid sowing of sugarcane crops. Farmers are urged to ensure a steady supply of sugarcane at the mill gate by March 12 at the latest.
